Do You Smell the Coffee? Cafe907 is Here!
August marks the beginning of the school year, and the youth program at Second is no exception. This year, the youth program is full of new things! We have a new Youth Director, a new Confirmation class, and a new and exciting vision for Sunday school.
Café 907 is the opportunity for our youths and families to come tochurch on Sunday morning and have a time of fellowship and fun as theyprepare for Sunday school. Starting September 7th we will begin everySunday at 9:07am, hence the name. There will be breakfast, coffee, music, and a time of communal devotional. Café 907 allows theopportunity to nurture a spirit of unity, community and spiritualcenter-ness surrounded by excitement and fun. The new vision of Café907 is a great way to bring a new light to the life of our youth atSecond Presbyterian Church. We want to make the experience of Sunday atime of worship from beginning to end.
As the new director for youth and families, I want to take this opportunity to thank you! The past two weeks have been full of greetings from corner to corner. Thank you for saying hello and for stopping at the office to offer your help. Thank you for making this processes a smooth transition and making us (Jannine and me) a part of your family.
We all know how special and refreshing for us is the time that we spend together every Sunday morning as a congregation. We enjoy our talks in the parlor, our greetings in the hallways, and the wonderful joy that we share in the passing of the peace. That is the joy and fellowship that we share in our Lord Jesus Christ. It is out of fellowship, joy, and love that Café 907 emerges!
Please keep us in your prayers and I look forward to seeing you there! if you need to email me, click HERE. And add my email address to your book:
